Wavecrest Builders was founded in 1986 by Sherrell Futral and Woody Warren (originally as Bluewater Builders), quickly achieving success with its first subdivision, Bluewater Bay, in Emerald Isle. This initial project was remarkably successful, selling over $5 million in residential lots within just three hours.

Since then, Wavecrest Builders has consistently developed premier coastal communities throughout Carteret and Onslow Counties, including notable subdivisions such as Bluewater Banks, Walnut Place, Cape Pointe, and Bluewater Cove. In addition to community developments, Wavecrest Builders has constructed hundreds of custom homes, vacation properties, primary residences, and commercial projects along North Carolina’s Crystal Coast.
